Lago Maggiano, Italy

Jo and I went to Italy for Hazel and Herman's wedding and who flies all the way to Italy without taking a look around. Jo and Nate being Jo and Nate deciding that we would go on a caravan adventure much like Topsie and Tim.

We landed in Milan with pouring rain. Out instructions said to head to the Avis counter and to meet our ride to the depot there. Avis proudly told us that they don't have Avis Caravan, but since we had paid "Avis Camper" for our camper we knew they were misinformed. Calling the depot to get the information correct was difficult because they don't speak English and my Italian isn't much better.

An American stewardess helped us translate that we needed to find the man in the red shirt. This knowledge helped. We picked up the Rv and began our trip.

Within 100m I backed into a sign. I didn't realize that the sign was no stopping, standing or parking. To me it looked like wrong way jackass. It was in fact a single lane bridge that you take turns crossing. This would be a valuable lesson because this is a common issue.

From there we drove 500m to the grocery store and 200m back to the first campsite we found. Then we went to sleep.
