I was trying to configure a variable in SSIS to use an expression but I couldn't for the life of me find the elipsis to bring up the Expression Builder. As you can see from the picture on the right I had an error in my syntax and so the logical way to fix it is to bring up good old expression builder. Well that would seem to be the logical thing to do except in this case the (...) was missing. It was not there. Gone. Adios. On vacation(I don't think vacation will be a search term, but it is better safe than sorry). In order to get it back you will need to upgrade your Microsoft SQL Server Integration Service, or MSSQL IS or MS SSIS or SQL2005 Integration Services or SQL 2K5 .(If I missed a search term let me know). I hope this helps
I searched high and low on the intarveb and noone had posted this. So I figured I would help save someone the few hours I spent looking for a solution. I don't generate enough content for a seperate technical blog, nor is any of it earth shattering, so I am going to continue to post it here until I come up with a better plan. Please settle all complaints with my agent at www.hanklynch.com
